Joan Jett releases the hit song I Love Rock and Roll.

--June 25, 1988--
Joan Jett releases the hit song I Hate Myself for Loving You.

Now, IF Marie Osmond is a little Country and her brother, Donnie Osmond, is a little bit Rock and Roll THEN one can only assume that it took Joan Jett six years to hate Donnie Osmond. Whereas it only took me two seconds into that awful song.
